Allergy to suncream but only in the sun/heat?

So last summer, we had a terrible time with DD.

She developed a reaction to sun cream.

Or more accurately, she had a reaction, only on her face, generally her cheeks and the "T-zone" but only once in the sun/heat.

So I could patch test a cream, she would be fine, think right, ok, I can use that, then we would be out for the day, and within an hour her face would be red, blotchy and swollen.

It was very definitely from where the sun cream was as the first time we really noticed she came out of school and her face was very red, as the school thought she had been sun burned, so kept telling her to put more on, and the redness almost had hand marks in it where she had put it on herself. And this was a sun cream we had used perfectly well the year before.

We are away in Feb, abroad, and I am wondering what to use really. I will again patch test stuff, but that is no guarantee she will not react once she is in sunlight or hot.

My daughter is the same. I tend to not put cream on her face and make her wear a sunhat shades her face. I then try and keep her in the shade as much as possible. She has a separate hat for in the water.

My DD has severe, life threatening food allergies and has severe skin reactions to countless things. The only suncream she can use is Ultrasun.

I will check out Ultra Sun thanks :-)

She just seems to be developing allergies the older she gets.

She had a reaction to transpore tape recently, never had an issue with it before.

And last week she came out in hives all over, not even sure what that was from, but she was at the Brownies Christmas party and tried mango and raspberries for the first time in years, so wondering if it was that?
