Can anyone recommend a Chiropractor in or around Islington who can treat newborns with TBS- Traumatic Birth Syndrome? It's for my sister in law's baby. Thanks

Honestly?use the monies on something other than a quack who’ll over patholgise this. This is the equivalent of standing in the garden chucking money away

If there are musculoskeletal issues have a paediatrician undertake an assessment and recommend treatment and maybe a physio

Hi Lipstick,

Thanks for your opinion. Personally, I don't believe Chiropractors are quack. Despite the absence of large scale clinical trials, due to the fact pharmaceutical companies can't make huge profits from the findings, there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest it can be of great benefit. Many chiropractic clinics offer free consultations for infants & reduced rates for first appointments. I would not recommend a long, drawn out process of return visits but often one session is all it takes to remedy an issue that could take physio years to resolve.

Now if anyone actually knows of a reputable chiropractic in North London I would be most grateful.

With love x

Are you not looking for that other quackery, cranial osteopathy? I've tried it in desperation a few times and don't rate it but others do especially for babies who had difficult births.

There's a centre of excellence for it in Putney I believe.

Sorry, just say you're North London!
