Anyones child on desmopressin nasal spray?

My DD was prescribed this after struggling with the tablets, I thought it would be great like the hayfever nasal sprays- but I'm finding it a nightmare. Can't get it in the little tube, she cant coordinate blowing and sniffing, and I@m not sure shes getting much of the drug compared to the tablets!

I had the desmo nasal spray myself as a youngster, it is quite tricky to get the hang of! (And doesn’t ‘taste’ the nicest at the back of the throat either, assuming it’s still the same as it was back then 20+yrs ago!). No advice as such but just keep practicing, you should both get the hang of it soon! If at all possible, it might be more effective if DV can pump/administer the spray themselves, easier for timing etc! Good luck! Hope it’s works out for you, that spray was a lifeline for me and my key to ‘recovery!’.

My ds took the tablets not the spray, but I just wanted to say good luck with it. We have finally just got ds dry at night (he’s nearly 9). We needed a combination of desmopressin and an alarm in the end.

Sorry not to be able to help, I didn't even know there was a spray version. We're also at last seeing some results with combination of pills and alarm - 10 nights dry!!!

What's the issue with the tablets? The ones our DC use are melters that don't need swallowing they just disolve in the mouth instantly.

Oh yes we used the melters too! They are literally called Desmomelt, OP would they help?

We started off with the desmomelts but she can't lift her tongue properly to get them underneath? Blinking nightmare all of this, her elder brother is still on the tablets too and has got on with them fine. Thank you all
