Baby diarrhoea / blood in nappy

Having a bit of a worry about DS nappies this morning and there's no doctor service in our area. Plus I'm away early next week.

TMI, but

He's 10 weeks old and combi fed. He poos a lot anyway, but the past two days he's done a few that have been very wet and with some small blood streaks. It looks a bit like having a cold and seeing blood when blowing your nose. He's still doing poos that look normal in between, but when there's blood it's as though he's really straining even though they're not solid at all. He's still sleeping normally seems ok otherwise.

Any experience of this?

Are your nipples cracked? Possibly blood from that.
I'd get it checked out at the walk in centre. Or call 111. It doesn't sound right

No they're not. The walk in centres aren't open around here on a Saturday. I have my HV's mobile number, so I'll try her.

Is the blood bright red or dark ? Either way 111 or walk in and take a used nappy with you don't risk it

Most HV won't look at their phone at weekends. I'd call 111. They'll be able to book an appointment with an out of hours clinic.
