So - two DSs at school. For the last term they have had nits every week at least (I suspect they have never gone). I treat them with shampoo every week and comb them. I have just got a nitty gritty comb too.

We went on holiday for two weeks and I took the nit shampoo with me and they still have them. I have used headrin, lyclear and full marks.

I am also treating myself. I am totally at a loss. HELP!!!!

Make a tea tree oil solution with cheap conditioner four parts to one part neat tree.
Soak the hair and massage in, leave ten minutes, comb then rinse.
Repeat for two weeks.

This is the only thing that worked for us.

Good luck

I always had nits as a kid and my father tried every nit shampoo and oil and treatment and nothing worked. He met a woman in a supermarket and she advised my dad to try rice vinegar. So he brought some cheap rice vinegar and tipped it all over my head and wrapped it up in cling film and believe it or not I've never had nits since. The only thing I hated was smell in of vinegar for about a week lol. But my father swears by it. X

Put coconut oil on their heads. It stood the nuts being able to breathe. Leave it in overnight, then wash, use lots of conditioner, and comb. As the nuts have a 10 day life cycle, do it again in a week to get the next lot of eggs.
I did this with my two all through a nitty primary, and it worked.

Just use hair straighteners to straighten the hair it will kill all the lice.
