DS has been constantly ill for over year resulting in loads bloods tests some are still to come back, pediatrician said he has on overreacting immune system, at this stage not sure what it's connecting with, his weight is ok and he's a tall boy, each day his food intake varies depending on how ill he is, but he's still looking for milk during the night, he doesn't get a bottle at all, milk in a beaker, sometimes drinks a cup during the day but I just can't get him off it during the night, any suggestions what to do, he doesn't get milk to bed, he asks for water before going to sleep, from 1am-4am he looks for milk

Can you try a few tough nights where he gets no milk?
My boy was similar in that he was still having milk overnight at quite an old age (possibly after 2 years can't remember).

He also was constantly ill so I think we were always too soft on him or if we planned tough love guaranteed he would get a high temp.

But it wasn't actually that difficult to get him off the milk. A couple of hard nights and then it was fine. He does still wake reasonably regularly overnight but on the whole sleeps a lot better (still 2).

Aw sorry to hear he's been ill! That's tough. Was going to say that we did the Bottle Fairy with my 25 month old on Monday and as he won't drink milk from anything else, his milk intake has plummeted. But that's probably not helpful for you.

Have you tried watering down his milk? Gradually water it down more and more? Otherwise I'd just go cold turkey - so hard though!
