4YO with white patches on skin

My dd was born with a white streak in her hair which we have never had any major concerns over but recently Ive noticed she has small white patches of skin on her forehead and hair line. Any ideas on what it could be? I know about vitiligo but I was sure that only develops in later life.

Poliosis is the prescence of a white streak in hair...a "Mallen streak" as it's sometimes called thanks to Catherine Cookson! The other issue that it could be, as you say, is Vitiligo and that can indeed be present in children.

I'd see the Gp just to be sure.

My dd was diagnosed with vitiligo when she was 4 years old. It can happen at any time but most people are diagoosed under the age of 20.

Go to gp to rule out any nasty underlying causes
