Food poisoning - pizza - have I given her poisoning?

Hi all,
So I've started only cooking half a pizza (cheese and tom) and storing other half in fridge for next day (uncooked).

I am careful and thought this was safe?
Dd is v poorly - she wouldn't have got food poisoning from this would she?

What about playing in a sprinkler from a hose?

Trying to work out if she's got poisoning. GP look into it on day 5. She is so ill. We haven't caught anything off her yet....?

I doubt it. Why are you trying to blame yourself? It could be any sort of a bug.

Do you have a fridge thermometer?
This recent hot weather has been hard work for fridges.
Personally I would make a large batch of bases and freeze them individually wrapped.
Her illness could be completely unrelated. Are you careful about handwashing before eating?

I think friends and family are thinking it's poss food poisoning as we haven't come down with it...yet! GP said unlikely as no nasty stomach cramps or blood in vomit/stools.

So careful about hand washing!! At school though, I think it's a different matter, but we always tell her it's important to wash hands and use soap.
Discovered she hasn't been using soap at school.

Just becuase your child has a virus it does not mean you will catch it. Not catching it does not mean it's food poisoning

1/2 a cheese & tom pizza stored in the fridge until the next day I really can not see causing food poisoning as it's been stored properly.

Children get sick and some virus are nasty and do hang around for 7-10 days

Stop trying to blame yourself

I thought it unlikely and can't think of anything else she's eaten that would cause it, as others ate same and are fine.

The pizza was taken to Grandparents house so was out of fridge for short time.

GP is thinking Gastroenteritis and food poisoning unlikely.

She has 100% caught this at school and it has nothing to do with the pizza.
Look after her and don't send her back till school guidelines say (ours is 24h from last vom)

Thanks so much. I am keeping her off until Monday I think, she's so poorly buy hasn't vomited since yesterday. Hasn't attempted eating yet and hasn't had anything since Sat, but is keeping fluids down.
