DS eczema flared up in the heat

As a baby and toddler, DS had severe eczema which we eventually got on top of when we resorted to seeing a private specialist. His skin has been great for a couple of years and we've been able to cut back on emollients etc. However this heat has brought it back with a vengeance, inside of arms, backs of legs, waistband all red raw plus a general heat rash all over his chestSad
Any advice? Applying usual emollients and giving antihistamine, not sure what else to do. Protopic helped him enormously but would have to go back to GP as have none in date anymore.

Hydrocortisone. Or a stronger steroid from GP if that doesn't help.
Cotton clothes.
Try and keep cool.
Don't bathe too often (hard in the heat!)
Use minimal products. Eg no bubbles.
What emollient are you using? Make sure you slather it. Use loads. And really very often!

Thanks for speedy reply Wolfie
Emollient is epaderm, the cream in the pump dispenser. Also dermol in his bath. Now you mention water, he's been in the paddling pool every day after school, can't believe I didn't make that connection! Will stop that for a few days.
