Ds has been referred to a gastroenterologist art to his chronic constipation stomach problems and reflux. His normal paed mentioned the possibility of a biopsy and an endoscopy - and the possibility of a gastrostomy to get more liquids into him. I am bloody terrified, has anyone been through this? (Have also posted in sn children)

Hope he feels much better soon. I guess the hospital will have lots of experience carrying out endoscopy on such a young patient. Hope whatever procedure he has give some answers.

Yes. The scopes and biopsies will look for causes for the constipation like problems with nerves. Too many eosinophils etc.
The gastrostomy is usually a last resort.
