Anemia in 10 week DS baby

I was just wondering if anyone has had a baby with severe anemia.

We were at the cardiologist yesterday (to confirm a heart murmur was an innocent murmur) and he mentioned that my DS looked pale - I disagreed but I was so exhausted I didn't put up too much of an argument. He sent us for a blood count test and within the hour I was called that I needed to come
In urgently to hospital because DS needed a emergency blood transfusion as there were virtually no Red blood cells in his blood, all other cell counts were within limits.
Wondered if anyone has gone through this and what the root cause was.. I have just used Dr Google and wish I hadn't!!

Yes - almost exactly this. My daughter has Diamond Blackfan Anaemia which is a serious condition but has proved very manageable for us. She is now a happy bright and active 6 year old. I hope your son's condition proves less serious, but do let me know if you would like to chat further.
