Any experience of wrist flexion issues - gymnastics-related

DD has been suffering wrist pain. Took her to GP and GP says it's probably due to too much gym. She has limited flexion and poss ligament/tendon damage. GP has said to treat with diclofenac gel, ice, rest, and ibuprofen, then to make another GP appt if no improvement.

Has anyone else experienced this type of injury, and does it tend to get better? Dd does a lot of tumbling - round-off flics and so on - which I'm sure is to blame.

She is gutted to have to give up gym, even temporarily.

Thanks.
