Children with long term medical conditions

Dear all,

I have started a petition to try and get schools to follow the law in caring for children with long term medical conditions!

Lots of children in our schools have to cope with managing long term medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, ceoliac, anaphylaxis, migraines etc. Schools are required to put in place a Medical Conditions Policy according to the law and make sure these are closely adhered to so that these children can reach their potential.

Sadly many schools are not aware of the law and children like my daughter are put at risk (she is type 1 diabetic). I am working closely with diabetes uk and the medical conditions at school alliance to ask Edward Timpson (MP for children and families) and ofsted to check schools are following the law!

Please sign my petition - the more signatures and shares the more chance of schools improving care for our children and potentially saving lives!

Many thanks
