Lump on toddlers eyelid?? Worried

Hi there, my 2 1/2 year old daughter has a pea sized lump on upper eyelid, been referred to opthamologist but worried sick. Had it for ages but not causing discomfort? Anyone had experience of similar???

It looks like a Chalzion. I've had one myself and toddlers can get them too.

They sometimes come from an infection called Blepharitis which is an infection of the eyelashes. Has DD ever had crusty eyelids?

No not really but she has had a few styes on the same eye.

They may have been chalzions also OP...they can come and go. I had mine removed...minor op.

Did you ever get this resolved? This looks very similar to something my son has, and he’s now had two ultrasounds and is being booked for an MRI. Our physicians are pretty mystified. Would appreciate anyone’s experience.

Hi did anyone ever find out please? My little girl has similar, smaller than in the photo probably the size of a pinhead but otherwise the same. She’s had chronic blepharitis for nearly a year poor thing so assuming it may be some kind of blockage?

In case it’s reassuring, my son is now 5.5 and this has all but disappeared. We didn’t have to remove it, because as he grew it didn’t and now it seems to be a non-issue.
