How do you get a splinter out of a 6 months hand?!

Little man has been exploring our new house and gotten a splinter in his knuckle thats causing him distress
What do i do? Its bright red and looks pussy but is very small

I know sudocreme helps draw them out but I doubt you could do that till he was asleep! Can you distract him with the telly or something?

Try removing it after a bath. The warm water should make the skin softer.
