I3 year old with painful itchy willy

My 3 year old has been complaining of a sore, itchy willy. The Dr prescribed Anti fungal cream for thrush (he's had antibiotics recently) but he has been up all night crying, we have applied the cream but it doesn't seem to be helping.

I don't know whether to persist with the cream or ask to see the doctor again today. Or is there anything else we can try?

When DS had these symptoms, it turned out to be eczema. Try Aveeno cream? Or go back to the doctor with your suspicions.

The title should say 3 year old, sorry. He wouldn't allow the doctor to look at it yesterday. It is slightly red at the end.
