11yo DS, for yrs he has had a tendency to puff in cold weather or he's got a cold. It's a bit chronic this winter, it wouldn't surprise me if DS has mild asthma.
Is it worthwhile to take DS to GP? Is DS like to be diagnosed with anything, If DS is having a good day & can get a high reading on a peak flow meter & spirometer, or would GP then just tell us to keep an eye on situation (which we have done for long while now). Thing is, I'm kind of convinced that DS normally has a high lung capacity so the normalised charts might be misleading for him.
Any experience?
