Ultra Dex mouthwash suitable for kids

Hi, I am looking for a mouthwash for my ds7, he is extremely fussy with strong tastes. I use ultra Dex which does not have a strong taste but I am not sure if this is suitable for his age. (It does say on the back not suitable for under 6) it is very good at keeping my teeth stain free, I wanted to make sure it is ok for children's teeth and was wondering if anyone else's children use this?

I think it contains fluoride so you need to be very careful that he isn;t overdosing on fluoride.

I didn;t think dentists were keen on children using mouthwash but I might be mistaken about that.

Yes, UltraDEX Daily Oral Rinse and indeed the Toothpaste are perfectly suitable for children over 6 years. The fluoride content is low and at a level which has been deemed by researchers to be adequate for protection against tooth decay. We would always recommend using both the rinse and paste under the supervision of an adult to ensure it is being used correctly and your child is able to spit the products out properly. Additionally the oral rinse is alcohol free and unflavoured which might be helpful if your son does not like the strong taste of mint. Please get in touch with us if you we can help you further.

Don't use mouthwash at the same time as brushing or you rinse the toothpaste away. If you do use it, use it between brushings. I don't know if mouthwash is necessary though.
