8 month olds poop looks exactly like wet sand

My ds had diahorrea for 5 days or so and fortunately now his poo is solidifying. However, it looks like the exact consistency and colour of wet/damp sand. Like you need to make a good sand castle!

He is well in himself other than teething grumpiness, is his just a byproduct of the tummy bug?

gall bladder can affect the color of poo- maybe get him checked if it continues to be pale and soft.
