If you saw my previous post you will have seen that i was going over the fact that my DS(2) finger is almost defiantly broken. So we are going to take him to a&e tomorrow morning which will make hime late for school (unless they don't give him immediate protection for his finger then he will stay home for the day) I know they normally just strap a broken finger up but this brake is right at the bottom of his finger literally just approve knuckle and apparently they will probs put that in a cast not strap up. So I'm taking him tommorow. He did this on friday so swellings gone down (not completely) But could they give him a fracture clinic appointment that day or does it have to be tomorrow i just want him to miss as little school a possible! Thanks for reading

Replied to your other post, if it needs to be seen they'll usually do what's necessary and get you another appointment in a week/fortnight to check it's healing properly.

Get him along to a&e around 8am, day shift will have started, there will be plenty of room in car park and no queue in x-ray. If it does need specialist review it should be possible to arrange this from a&e. At 14 a break into the joint will probably not have enough time to remodel and might need a wire or screw to reduce the risk of arthritis 40 yrs hence.
