My 13 month old son has some issues with immunity and bloodcount issues so gets a lot of infections and virus. On friday at the gp for another ear infection on strong antibiotics as usual on sunday he was standing on the sofa (hes been standing with support since around 9 months) he can walk holding one hand and has learnt to crawl in the last few weeks, anyway he started to scream uncontrollably after he stopped I realised he couldnt hold his weight and was hopping but wasnt crying and seemed ok so let him go to bed took him gp the next morning he agreed hips are fine no obvious injury doesnt cry when u touch and part of his foot, legs and knees. One knee sometimes feels warm but he cannot bare weight he trys and then starts moaning lifting up both legs swapping from one to the other. Dr said possibly inflamation of the joints from a virus allthough no obvious signs. Since then he trys but still cant bare weight hes gone from a baby you couldnt sit down to one who just moans when he stands up cant bare weight and hes quickly stopped asking to get up its very scary to watch such a drastic change in behaviour. Tomorrow I was ginna make another appointment with thw gp I also have the mobile number to the on call pediatrician (whoevers on) at my local a&e because as I said he has on going issues with heamatology and infections should I call them and ask ? Any ideas or advice or anyone had/heard something similar
