My 13 month old son just had a nosebleed from crying too hard

At work so I wasn't there to see. DH just called. DH was looking after DS, DS got upset and cried without stopping for ages. Then DS had a nosebleed as a result. This isn't normal, is it? Just called the GP and they are to call back but thought to consult MN in the meantime.

Any chance he banged his nose having a tantrum?

Could he have burst a little blood vessel in his nose? Doesn't sound serious but it will be interesting to hear what the GP says

No banged nose. It just started to bleed. He has had a few falls where he knocked his head on the floor but not very hard but not before the bleed, he tends to fall about once a day and knock his head. :(
