How to stop diarrhoea leaking out of nappy!

My 2 year old has bad diarrhoea and all I can say is thank God for wooden floors! It literally pours out of his nappy like water. Not so bad during the day but he is in our bed at the moment so any tips on preventing leaks would be very much appreciated xxx

Do you still get those plastic pants that used to cover terry nappies?

Depending on how tonight goes I may well try those x

Is that every poo? Have you spoken to the gp? Ruled out medical reasons.

You can get nappy wraps, which are like plastic pants but adjustable sizes. We use them with washable nappies, but you could put them over a disposable as well, I guess. If you look online for washable nappies you'll find places to order them, and if you email I'm sure the shop would be happy to advise you. Personally the brands I use are Flip and Blueberry. My Blueberry ones have double gussets, so they're bomb proof!

For tonight I'd just lie him on a couple of old towels. Hope he's better soon x

Food allergies in our house took over a year to get solidish poo. Made a huge difference which brand of nappy we wore. Kiddicare just for bums worked for us but think it depends on your child's shape. Good luck

If it's a temporary thing, you could put a shower curtain under the sheet so the mattress stays dry.

Thankfully we escaped overnight but its definitely a virus cos I'm not teething! He has started loose nappies again but nothing yet like yesterday. Can't get out to any shops the way we both are so will bear in mind the shower curtain idea, thank you x
