DD has been complaining of stomach pain today, little bit this morning, got worse this afternoon at school. She has a baseline pain which she said is under her ribs (from the last bone and under, she says), slightly to the left - and along with this episodes of acute pain that causes her to cry out. No diarrhoea, and no usual signs of constipation (she has a runny bowel movement yesterday, after having some movicol as she sometimes gets constipation and had sore belly the day before, this is a different type of pain). Her belly is a swollen and bit solid to touch.
It is hurting her to move, pain increases as she sits up, or lays flat on her back. Bent down to pick up something and cried out, could not up from the floor without crying out in pain, needed help getting up.
Additionally, she had a slightly raised temp this morning, complained of a slight earache, bumps on the back of her tongue were raised, slight sore throat, eased with ibuprofen before school. Slightly raised temp this evening, but no high fever.
Could this be constipation? stomach migraine? a bug? Pain is not moving to her right side (checked in case appendicitis), but is getting worse (had more medicine this evening when she got home from school, due some more so might be that medicine is wearing off?).
What signs should I look out for now/over the weekend that might need to have GP attention?
