DS with chicken pox visited me in hospital

I had an op yesterday at the hospital and DH dropped me off and picked me up with DS in tow.

This morning DS had a few spots on his face, and as the day has gone on I've noticed a few have appeared on his body too.

So he probably was infectious when he visited me.

Should I tell the hospital? No one touched him and he didn't go near any patients except me but I'd hate someone to get sick especially given I was in the early pregnancy unit.

Can't do any harm to phone them and explain, then they can decide if they need to do anything or not.

Yes I would contact them as chicken pox can be spread by being in the same room for 15 minutes or by speaking face to face

Yes, especially if he was near pregnant women. I'm pregnant and have no chicken pox immunity and have been told to see a doctor if I come into contact with anyone with it. It can very dangerous for non immune pregnant women.

I don't think he went near any pregnant women, but the nurse came in while he was there.

I will call and let them know.
