My 5 month old daughter us going into hospital next week for an operation on her stomach.. There is a 10 day recovery period in hospital so I'm thinking of what toys I can buy for her cot or to keep her amused as she'll have to stay led down while she's recovering. Any ideas? Xx

Bless her, hope it all goes well.

At that age, mine liked soft books with flaps, crinkly bits and different textures. Lamaze do lots of things like that.

We had one of these too. It was good because it had straps to attach it to the cot sides. www.tesco.com/direct/fisher-price-pink-activity-centre/206-4136.prd

Aww hope your little girls op goes well.
And ditto above, rattles, soft books, mobiles.
I'm sure the hospital will have a play therapist that could help as well.
