My DS aged 1 started with diarrhoea last Tues - so far, so tummy bug, we thought. He was off his food too, and high temp, and we basically had 2 days of green watery hideousness - easily 15 nappies per day. No vomiting thankfully, and he was drinking milk and water fine, so HV whom I rang for advice was content for me to hang fire before taking him to the docs. He seemed better on Fri, but I noticed a runny nose, and he's since been going through an awful cold. I think he's also teething as is biting everything he can get his hands on. But the hideous poos are back. They never got as far as fully formed iyswim, before the cold/teething arrived, and they haven't gone back to watery or as frequent; more something between thick gravy and thick custard, varying between green and yellow, and maybe 3-4 a day. DS' bum is red raw despite us changing him the minute a poo arrives, and I'm at a loss for the cause and re whether to take him to the GP. Is this all part of the same bug? Or is he just still recovering/developing a temp lactose intolerance? I've never known him react like this to teething before. His poos currently seem to be prompted by eating - after a couple of mouthfuls he farts and follows through bless him. But he's in a lot of pain with wind and his nappy - am using Metanium but want to cry when I change him
Any advice gratefully received
