Peeling palms and soles of feet?

Ds (7) has a verruca on his big toe and little toe next to it. I assumed that a bit of flaky skin near it was caused by excess cream . Tonight though I remarked on it and both feet have peeling skin so he then showed me his plans. Like blistered skin once they've popped/gone?

I used to peel great sheets off my feet as a teen. It stopped when I hit adulthood.

Nerf · 06/01/2015 21:45

Oh god he would love that Grin

It was oddly satisfying. Painless, for me, and never got worse. Kind of missed it when it was gone. Grin

I've had this. Was extremely itchy but cleared up after a few weeks.

Nerf · 09/01/2015 19:10

Just asked and it's not itchy

It could be this

My son had small blister like dots on his feet. Turned out his feet were very sweaty feet and was not letting the air get at them. It is called pitted keratoysis. Hope this helps :-)

Thank you, will take another look - he was picking bits off earlier Shock

some strep infections can cause this - has he been unwell recently or had any rashes? DD had a very serious strep infection a few years ago and hers basically peeled in big sheets like baking parchment - so weird!!

He has been complaining of a sore throat when he drinks. Maybe it's that, he has been super whingey too.

DS has this occasionally and we use Aveeno Oatmeal cream . It settles'll establish it after 2-3 days

Stupid swipy keyboard thing! "Settles it"

Could be scarlet fever? Especially if there's been a sore throat too?
