3 week old with lots of phlegm/mucus

DS2 is 3 weeks old and has woken up with a lot of phlegm/mucus in his throat. I can hear it rattling in his throat and it's sort if getting stuck in his throat and making him gasp a bit for air when he sleeps.

He threw up twice this morning and it was white sticky mucus and milk.

He's finally fallen asleep now but I can hear it in his throat etc.

He's feeding and doesn't have a temp. Is there anything I can do?

You need to analyse what you have eaten in the last 3 days (if you breastfeeding him). Excess of sweet products in diet can be one of the cause of mucus production. (sweet means sugary but also carrots, potatoes are of a sweet flavour too :))
