Should I give my daughter (7) this metronidazole as she's ok now?

I took my daughter who is 7 to the doctor last Friday as she had a vaginal discharge. They took swabs and sent urine sample off. She wasn't unwell just a horrible discharge that was soaking her knickers so she was embarrassed.

Today they contacted me and I've got a prescription for metronidazole so I presume she had an infection. Thing is by Saturday afternoon it had all stopped and she's had nothing since.

Nothing in her knickers and no complaints, so I'm not sure whether to give it to her. Doctor or nurse couldn't speak to me to today so have no advice there.

What do you think MN?

Yes I would still give it, if it's an infection it might not have cleared up by itself, those symptoms could just have stopped for now, it could get worse again.
