DD has had tummy ache for a week- what do I do

DD who is 11 has been complaining of tummy pains since last week. The way she described it, it sounds a like menstrual cramps. She is certainly developing so it would not surprise me if her periods were to start. She has been having hot water bottles, calpol & tlc for the last week but she still has the pain. Her toilet habits don't seem to have changed so its not constipation or an upset tummy.
I don't know what to do next, is there something better for cramps I could try (I have never had them myself) or should I be taking her to the doctors like dp suggested.

Could be appendicitis so worth checking out.

Thanks superram - I wonder about that, but thought it would be more painful. I have booked an appointment but it's not till next week!

It could be a IBS.

I was diagnosed with IBS at 19/20, but looking back I had symptoms from a much younger age. The cramps might be eased with some Buscopan, you can buy that over the counter, but I would take her to the GP to rule anything out like a UTI or something else.
