1 year old DS still grotty 3 days after jabs

DS had his 1-year jabs on Friday. He was pretty miserable all weekend and is still not a happy bunny today. Is it normal for a LO to still be feeling the effects 3 days after?

I should mention that he also has a nasty cold and cough (which the nurses were aware of at his appointment but felt it was OK to go ahead). I'm sure that's not helping, but he's such a happy little chap normally and colds don't usually make him particularly unhappy. He's so sad and clingy.

I go back to work on Wednesday and I'd rather hoped we'd be able to have some fun on my last few days of Mat leave, my poor baby :-(

What were the jabs for? It does sound quite normal.
As long as he's drinking enough water, no excessive diarrhoea and not running a temperature he should be fine.

Get yourselves under a blanket and chill out with lots of cuddles tomorrow Smile or you never know he might wake up feeling a lot better!

Good luck with going back to work.

Thanks for the reply. According to the paperwork he had his first MMR jab, plus Hib booster, Pneu 3 and Men C 2.

He actually perked up a little by the end of the afternoon yesterday and although he's wanting a few extra cuddles today he's so far gone back to his usual, chatty, happy self Smile
