4mo struggles to sleep in day, cries all afternoon

Well, DD1 never had a problem with routine, sleeping and rarely cried.

Cue the opposite with DD2.

She is bonny as hell (just turned 4mo) during the day but does winge when not the centre of attention.

She never sleeps more than about 30 mins at a time and from about 4pm onwards cries unless she is being held or talked to.

Her routine is up at 7am, and after her penultimate feed at 8pm she goes down soundly and then has a semi-dream feed at 11.30pm then down for the night.

I wonder if anyone has any ideas how we can get her to nap more soundly and longer during the day?

Thanks as always

Well considering she's sleeping so well at night, I'd accept my 30 minute naps as they are. One of my DDs was the same and by about 12 months was only having one short nap in the day....I know yours is only tiny but some do have short naps.

Do you put her in her room for naps? In the dark?

We've started to do that in the last couple of days. Sadly she's had a cold in those days so in runny nose / bunged up and hence struggles to settle
