My dd (5) had a buckle fracture of her forearm, they took the cast off this week. The arm has quite an angulated bend - feels like a bony lump, and she s saying it s sore a lot.
I m not sure whether to give her a few days more or bring her back in. They didn't x ray before taking the cast off but she did have a cast for 4 weeks.
Also they said the arm would staighten as she grows but it s quite bent looking.
Anyone had any experience of this ?

My son broke his arm when he was eight, and when the cast came off it definitely looked a bit funny, there was a real bump up towards his wrist. We were assured it would grow out and with a couple of months it was looking completely normal again.

However, he didn't complain of any pain. If she keeps complaining, I might be tempted to take her back.

Thanks.
Will keep an eye, it s defiantly a little weaker which is to be expected and I know it should have healed by now but it looks quite angulated too.

A bend at this stage is pretty common. But pain isn't. If still hurting, may be worth going back.
