Does this look like chicken pox to you?

Hello, I know there have been 100000 similar threads. But I'm feeling a bit helpless. The doctor we saw wasn't sure. DS was unwell for the past 2 weeks. Bit of fever, off food, cold symptoms. Woke up with this rash yesterday. If my doctor doesn't know..only the collective wisdom of mumsnet will help!

Does this look like chicken pox to you?

Looks like a viral rash showing end of a virus.

Chicken pox is usually very distinctive.

That's what I thought. He said it might be because DS has been around kids with chicken pox recently. But it would surely look like actual spots by today, wouldn't it?

Looks viral to me. Chicken pox is very obvious after a day or so.
