Dd1(3) put a bit of French frie up her nose last night. Advice please

Dd1 announced she had put a chip up her nose at tea time last night. Took her to a and e, the nurse could see it far up, waited to see doc for two and a half hours and he looked with one of those instruments with a light on. He couldn't see it and said it may have disappeared. He warned of infection and said to watch for foul smelling discharge.
My issue is I'm worried it's lodged up there still and she could get a nasty infection or it go into her lung. If it's a chip would it disintegrate over time? Please advice. She has a cold anyway so I can't tell if it's that which is making her snotty. She has sneezed lots and nothing has come out.
Thanks x

Maybe make an appointment with your GP. If he can still see it he may refer you if necessary.

No idea whether a chip would disintegrate.

Did it come out op? Apparently on a first aid course a friend of mine was told to squeeze the other nostril and blow into the childs mouth.
Hope all ok now.

Yes, I have heard it is called the 'mother's kiss' by a&e staff (friends son put pea up his nose). Blow into their mouth (gently but with good seal CPR style) with finger closing opposite nostril, that should shoot anything out.

Well we are a week on and we never saw it come out but it can't still be there. Her cold has gone, there's no foul smell or discharge and she seems happy. Took her to the gp last Thursday who had a good look and said her breathing seemed clear from the nostril. They think that because it's vegetable matter it will have slowly dispersed. Xx
