What's going on with my toddler ? Think I need to see GP tomorrow ?

During the week he had a 24 fever but paracetamol and ibuprofen were doing the trick and bring it down . It only lasted 24 hours so didn't see dr .

He had a fever again on Friday but one dose of paracetamol and it came down and that was fine didn't go back up again . He also had the sniffles and bit of a cough.

Over the weekend he has got worse and his cough is now fairly bad (I find it very hard to judge coughs they all sound terrible to me!) his temp has been 37.4 today so not a fever but still feels hot and he's just generally not himself .

I think it's weird that he's had two fevers in one week but days apart . If he doesn't have a fever tomorrow do you think it's still worth a trip to gp ?

If this was me I wouldn't bother with the doctor. Unless your child deteriorates a lot I would just put it down to the cold.

Ok how is a DS?

With any young child I tend to air on the side of better to be safe than sorry. If your worried then by all means take him to see your GP.

I'd put it down to teething. Very similar to my ds's symptoms. We medicate with Calpol, Cuprofen and paediatric simple linctus and avoid dairy for the cough.

I would see the GP. Around here (SE), there is a nasty bug going around that starts with a slight temperature and then degenerates into a cough - two of my DDs classmates have ended up with pneumonia, one hospitalised for a week. Several others are on antibiotics. I wouldn't wait and see if the cough is bad.
