Does anyone's child take montelukast granules?

And do they make them thirsty?

I know this is usually used for asthma but DS2 (18 months) is on them to try to reduce the size of his adenoids. He's been waking in the night wanting water/milk recently and it's just occurred to me that this has coincided with him starting the meds.

Thirst is listed as a side effect of the tablets but not the granules. So wondering if they're making him thirsty or it's just coincidence.

My son does but I don't think they make him anymore thirsty than normal. I didn't no that it could reduce the size of adenoids though? We have an appointment in July with ent about his and his tonsils.

My oldest takes the 4mg sachet at dinner time for asthma and they dont make him thirsty. What time of day do you give the medication?
