Has anyone any knowledge or experience of MenB vaccine?

Apologies if this has been done already, but on my phone and can't seem to search properly for current threads!

Have just endured the most horrendous chickenpox outbreak during which DD who is not yet 2, was completely covered and in pain and miserable for well over two weeks During this time I realised that there was a bloody vaccine for it available privately! So did a little digging of what else is soon to be on the NHS schedule of vaccines and found out about Meningitis B. Really considering just paying for it privately for us all actually but wondered if anyone here had any first hand experience of it? Good or bad.

My four dcs have had these vaccines privately and had no reactions at all. It is expensive but worth it, we savedformonths for the men b one.

Thank you for replying. Just what needed to hear. DD now has an appointment for MenB and I'm telling everyone I meet (practically) to at least consider the chickenpox vaccine. I certainly wish I had before she caught them!

My DD took part in the study for the MenB vaccine when she was a baby! She was part of a group that had the vaccine and then a blood test afterwards to see what the immune response was. I was very pleased to have the opportunity to take part in the study.
