I'm so worried about my little girl

She has been poorly for about a month now. First it was viral tonsilitis, and then she had irritable hip. This took ages to improve - she was on nurofen for about three weeks solid. Last Friday we were referred to paeds who took bloods which were clear, studied her gait which appeared to have improved, and gave us the all-clear.
This week she has still been up and down - definitely still favouring one leg, but much happier in herself. But this morning she was back to refusing to walk, and massive meltdowns for apparently no reason.
She's only 14months so it's very hard to know what the matter is but I just feel that this irritable hip, which is meant to last about a week, still seems to be hanging around.
I just don't know what to do. Is she just having a stroppy phase, which has coincided with being a bit poorly? Or could it be something properly wrong. I am at my wits' end.

I think back to the paediatrician. When you begin to doubt yourself, go back to the paediatrician. Hope you get some good advice.

Hello, it is difficult, my son had this at about 18 months after a chest infection, I understand there is a link between these. Anyway, he was very poorly for a couple of weeks and then it took a few months for him to get back to normal. I remember the X-rays and hi. Waking up in extreme pain when it was at it was at its worst. Keep up with the calpol and nurofen.

Hi. I have 3 sons who have all had irritable hip. With the first two it lasted few days to a week but when my youngest had it age 2, it lasted for at least 3 to 4 weeks from what I remember ( he's 5 now ). He was in hospital for 4 days as they initially suspected meningitis as he wouldn't move and was very irritable and had a rash and then they diagnosed irritable hip. He didn't weight bear at all for a good few weeks and had a limp for a while after that. I was really worried as I kept reading that it should get better quicker. Maybe if she has a further virus it could set her back a bit and it sounds like she's been through a lot. Hopefully she will be a bit better again tomorrow but take her back to GP of not. I'm sure she will be fine though but it will take time.
