Red sores on both sides of tongue

Hello,

This is my first post!

My 15 month old daughter keeps developing red sores on both sides of her tongue. It seems to be worst in the morning and calms down during the day. They do seem to cause her some discomfort and she keeps sticking her tongue out and rubbing them.

She often sleeps chewing and sucking on a comforter. She is also grow molar teeth and keeps putting dirty fingers down the side of her mouth.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this and how we can prevent or treat?

Thanks,
Matthew

This sounds like thrush - a GP will help and give some drops if it is. Or teeth - you need to see a doctor to be sure
