Bumped head, lump is still there over a week later- should I worry?

DD2 is 5. She fell over and bumped her head at school Thursday before last- so 9 days ago. Absolutely fine in herself, no lasting effects or concussion etc, but the lump is still very prominent on her forehead. Not sure whether to be concerned or not? Don't they usually disappear quite quickly?

Some do some don't. A bump is generally fluid so how fast it disperses back in to the body can be different person to person.

I would take her to a walk in medical centre or GP if you are concerned OP.

Take care.

Dd had this. I took her to GP who told me t was nothing to worry about. I would however take her just to be on the safe side.

Thank you both for responding. It seems to be going down now, and she's still absolutely fine, so won't rush to GP, but will keep an eye on it.

DS got wacked on his brow by DD when he was a few weeks old. He was left with an egg on his brow for literally years! Glad your DD's lump is going down.
