Hi everyone,

I have 10 month old baby who had 8 weeks general check and now is due for his next full check at 12 months. However,i just received a letter from my GP practice saying that there is a backlog and he wont be seen now(at 12 month). What worry me is that they havent even said how long is the check going to be postponed for!! I do think this is a big gap anyway and now i've been told he wont have the check now. I am looking into puting a complain forward ...
Can you please share your thoughts or experiences if you have gone through same or any similar situation.
Thank you

Complain if you wish but if there's a backlog then it's probably down to staff shortage from staff getting stressed by people making official complaints at the drop of a hat and being off sick or leaving

Surely if you had any concerns about your child you'd have gone to the clinic or doctors?

If you are worried about your child's development then it would be best to make an appointment with your gp. If you have no concerns, it will be fine to wait for your appointment to come through.
