Any tips and tricks for administering eye drops to reluctant toddler?

Toddler DS (22 months) has been prescribed a course of antibiotic eye drops to be administered 4 times a day - however actually getting him to accept the drops is a nightmare.

He has previously had eye drops on several occasions (memorably 4 times a day for 4 weeks after eye surgery a year ago) but administering them to a baby is much easier than to a determined wiggly toddler who loathes the sight of the drop bottle.

I currently resort to pinning him down but even that has limited success - so does anyone have any advice on how to make this easier for the both of us?

If he hate getting drops in his eyes then you can get him to close his eyes and administer the drops into the inner corner of his eyes. Then get him to gently blink a few times so the drops spread around the surface of his eyes.
