4 year old says neck hurts on one side - swollen gland?

It does look a tiny bit swollen, and it hurts him when I touch it. We've all had bad coughs and colds, he was off some of last week with a temp, he's gone to school but still coughing.

Can it be swollen glands if it's just on one side? I don't want to panic!

Yes. I had a winter bug with a massive swollen gland on the side of my neck below/behind ear..

NB I needed ABs for it. So did my sister.

Thank you, that's reassuring! It's hard with him as he soldiers on and doesn't complain - if it's still sore after school I'll make an app to get it checked.

Aww. I'm sure he'll cope better with it than I did!

Has he not got a sore throat?

My theory is it was tonsillitis but I don't have tonsils.

No sore throat, he's not complaining at all unless I touch it Confused
