Worried re: high temperature and possible infected molloscum!

Dd is 25mo and has had molloscum for ages but they have gotten huge lately and one of them keeps getting caught. I took her to the docs as it was v sore looking and has given us some antibiotic cream for it. This was weds, today however she has had a temp of 39.8 with no other obvious cold/flu symptoms. Does anyone think it could be the infection in the molloscum causing the high temperature or am I being daft?
Thanks in advance.

Hard to say, my DS had over 100 mollescum and now DD has several appearing :-(

Have you given calpol? See if that helps being the temp down. We used Manuka honey cream when DSs mollescum flared up, it did work. We out a plaster on top as it's the stuff inside which is contagious
