Never really been sick before and so new to this. She's had a temp on and off for a few days, said her tummy hurt but this evening had a diarrhea accident. Bit listless but eating and isn't sick

I thought she was better today so we went to school reluctantly on her part (and I told the teacher she'd been abit peaky to let us know) and school said nothing.

Anyway, the diarrhea happened this evening and temp is back, so she's definitely crook. No vomiting though and temp isn't really high.

I feel bad for my daughter and bad for the school if I've been blase and passed something nasty around!

How long do I keep her off -24 or 48 hours ?

Most schools look for 48 hours from the last incident of sickness or diarrhoea

48 hours after the last incident of d or v

ah, I didn't see it as D&V as it was only one case of D, but I guess the lesson is caution is better.

Thanks all.

Don't beat yourself up, as you say it could have been a one off.

Agree with others 48 hrs

Hope she's better soon xxx
