6yr old with adult body odour?!

My DD aged 6 has adult body odor. It is not noticeable unless you literally sniff her armpits - I only noticed when I was checking if she had rinsed soap off from her underarms in the bath by running my fingers over tem and then catching a whiff. We have been to the GP who said to wait for two weeks and then come back if it was still there. it is. Has anyone else experienced this?
I have googled and it seems to be fairly common, although can indicate other more serious stuff so I need to check it out. There seems to e a big link with drinking non-organic milk - lots of growth hormones in this apparently. DD has little milk - mostly rice milk due to eczema, some organic cheeses, and if any dairy milk it will be organic. Obviously if she has a pizza or eats out she will be having inorganic stuff but after cutting out all dairy for a while I saw no difference.

My 6 year old ds2 gets excema and bo . It is only occasionally . That is really interesting the information you found out. Thank you .

I have also noticed a BO smell on my 6YO DD and can definitely link it to non-organic milk. I wonder what your GP will say...

My 7yo has it and only drinks organic milk, but not exclusively organic for other dairy products. I put it down to the fact I don't give them a bath every night, so she simply gets a bit smelly there. We give it a good wash with soap and a scrub brush when she bathes and it goes away.

i got my daughter a 'pitrok'

My ds stinks and has done for 2 years (since just 6). He is now nearly 8 and has not developed in any other way so it is not precocious puberty with him.

With girls, if it were precocious puberty it is much more common than in boys and tends not to have a sinister cause, whereas in boys it can occasionally be caused by a brain tumour. I hope that doesn't alarm anyone.

I use pitrok as well - traditional antiperspirants are not good for kids.

Thank you - is a bit reassuring that happens so often. I am not concerned so much that she is "smelly" - it doesn't notice unless you literally smell her armpits, nose to flesh - I was just concerned at the possible implications. She has no other indications of puberty - nor is she overweight which I know can sometimes hasten things. She a bath mostly every night - sometimes (since the water meter!) we miss a night, but it is not due to poor hygiene. My 8 yr old DS could probably go without washing for a week but not have that "BO" smell.
