My son is 5 and since Friday he has been sick every night and had diarrheoa throughout the day, he seems fine during the day but it hits the evening and all of a sudden he goes down hill with a temp and is sick after falling asleep! He's been to school but I will be keeping him home tomorrow after this evenings projectile sick!!!
I have no idea what it is and is it ok to last thiS long? He's losing weight now and struggling to keep food down! :(
Anyone else have the same?

I think I 'd be considering a trip to GP or ringing NHS direct if your DS is losing weight & if the vomiting is projectile. It might be that he's taking longer to get over what has started out as a bug, if he's been going to school; he should be 48hrs clear of d&v before he goes back.

Yeah I think now it's continuing I will be keeping him home, it's hard when he's so desperate to go to school and is fine when he wakes up in the morning! Think a trip to the dr is is order tomorrow, im sure it's nothing but better safe hey!

If he was vomiting nightly and had diarrhoea, why on earth have you been sending him to school the last couple of says?!? Poor little scrap. I bet his teachers and classmates will be delighted with you. It sounds like a bug to me. Keep him home and let him get well. And don't spread it round to the rest of his class!!!!
