DS vomiting during night but fine in day

Wondering if anyone can shed any light on this?
Mr DS 7 yrs has been sick several times during the night on two separate occasions, both a few days apart.

He wakes up and goes to the toilet to be sick, then gets up a few more times to be sick again. But in the morning he is fine. First time was Saturday night so he was home on the Sunday anyway, but it happened again last night so I have kept him off school today but he is absolutely fine!

Asked him if anything at school is bothering him and making him not want to go and he said no, and to be fair never really complains about going to school and the first time it happened was on Saturday anyway.

Not sure what to think about it really! Any advice gratefully received!

Thanks :)

Did he eat later than usual on those 2 occasions?
Could it be a physical thing i.e. lying horizontal?

My daughter was sick four nights in a row but never during the day, quite a few wee ones in our village had the same. Just a weird bug that passed.

No different routine to usual, and no new foods. Hopefully this will not be an ongoing thing :)

Thanks
